With no specific subject matter in mind, I use the documentary approach to make carefully considered photographs of what I encounter in my daily life. I create my work as a way to detach from my physical self and the depression and anxiety that reside there. I make photographs to connect with the world around me. I use my art to explore what it means to live in the region at this point in history.
My hope is that as you view the photographs you consider the mundanities and overlooked aspects of life.
All photographs are made using a variety of digital cameras and using fine art paper I create archival pigment prints.
